Getting There

Asilah lies on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco, 45 Km south of Tangier. It is
easily accessible from Tangier by bus, train or taxi (collective taxi system in
Morocco, from the “Gare Routière”).

Tangier is just 9 miles from Spain (Tarifa), and is served by ferries from
Tarifa and Algeciras. The fast ferry from Tarifa takes 35 mins, and the longer
one from Algeciras about 2 hours.

Tangier airport (called Ibn Batouta Airport, formerly Boukhalef Aiport, airport
code TNG) is connected by flights from major cities in Europe, including
London, Paris, Madrid, Brussels among others, and via low-cost airlines such
as easyJet & Atlas Blue (part of Royal Air Maroc) ; flight times from London
are about 2 ¼ hours, from Madrid about 1 ¼ hours. From Tangier airport,
Asilah is only about 35 Km distant, and can be reached by taxi, or rental car.

Asilah has a train station 1 Km outside of town, a major motorway connecting
the north and south of the country, and bus and taxi stations.
